Beyond that he would not dis cuss the demand of North Van- couver District Council that the proposed sale contract includes a clause covering the extension of the line into North Vancouver City. It was indicated again that the government has become increas- ingly confident of selling the rail- way to United States capitalists, although the deal has not been finally closed yet. The terms of the sale have been completed and the government only awaits now 0 deposit of 6500,000 from the purchasers to close an op- tion which would have to be con- firmed by the House. The contract includes a "high- ly satisfactory" labor clause, it was stated when the government was questioned as to the use of British Columbia men in the ex- tension of the line to the Peace country. &eddhif 1 asksi ixehat Room & Board Phcus ED.
