Colon- el Brunt, of the 83rd ltegiment, after participating in the battle of Blauwberg, the fina engage- ment prior to British occupation, settled st the Cape in 1806. On her mother's side she comes from the early Huguenot--Dutch pioneers. Miss Brunt studied music at the Itoyal Academy, London, for several years and ss 0 1927 de. butant was presented at Buck- ingham Palace at the Msy Court of that year.
