The pilot climbed out and wss rescued by ferry No. 5 in charge of Captain Smith. Templeton, manager of the new airport at Sea Island, eng- ineers of the light and power department of the B. C. Electric Railway company are now en- gaged on the installation of a light and power system for the airport and an order for under- ground cable has just been placed with the Northern Elec- tric company. Power is being taken into the port by underground cable so that the landing fields and slip- ways may be left entirely free of overhead firing. The initial load of 150 horsepower will be used for the pump house, two hangars, and sea plane slipways, while lighting service is being installed for the entire adminis- tration and adjoining buildings. Later in the year will see the installation of the night light- ing which is to be of the most up-to-date type procurable.
