We learned that according to law a municipality is entirely responsible for the poor and in- digent within its borders, which would not, of course, include the unemployed. The speaker gave us s short account of his efforts to get our Provincial snd Federal Govern- ments to recognize the menace of unemployment a year ago, and the results of his efforts st that time reflected no credit on the ability of our politicians to see and meet a growing menace. The discussion of unemploy- ment from another angle will probably be continued at the next meeting of the Open Forum on Sunday, blarch 15th at S p. m. It is the most serious sub- ject before the world at the pres- ent day. Are you interested7 Have you any suggestions to of- ferr Come and take part in the discussion.
