Fraser, the principal, has hsd many years'xperier.ceas 8 teacher, and was on the staif of the original Fra- mer Montessori School, whose method of instructing in Kinder- garten work was invented by the famous Dr. Montessori. Folk dancing and rhythm are also taught. Meglsughlin, Mathers Avenue, who has been connected with the B. C, Electric Co. In Vancouver for some years, has taken over the managership of the B. C. Electric Co. here from 1st January, from J. T. Watt, who has resigned. Miss Ruth Blair has taken the lace of Miss Etta MacVean, who left the service of the B. C. Elec- tric Co. here at the end of the year and whose marriage takes place on the 10th instant. EATH OF MISS ELIZABETH TRIPP Miss Elizabeth Tripp, aged 22, only daughter of J. D. A. Tripp, prominent in Vancouver musical circles, and Mrs. Tripp, of Caul- feild, died Sunday night in San Francisco after a short illness. The deceased, who was popu- lar in the younger set, had been ill for about seven weeks. Dur- ing her sickness both her par- ents went to California to be at her bedside. In addition to being active in musical circles here, Miss Tripp was well known as an athktc. She was a member of Vancouver Lawn Tennis Club and Vancou- ver Tennis and Badminton Club. Funeral services will be held in San Francisco, where the de- ceased had lived for the past year. It is expected Mr .and Mrs. Tripp will return to Vancouver the end of this week. The span was tipped into the In- let on September 16 by the log- carrier Pacific Gatherer. The span, which weighs 800 tons, was lying on its side, and : the salvors had some difficulty setting it upright before moving it towards the beach. Divers worked at the structure when- ever tide conditions permitted, and gradually attached all the cables necessary to tip it over. It is expected that the span will be floated into the Burrard Drydock Co. floating dock before the end of this week. Then the actual work of repair will com- mence. Mrs.T. E.
