"Penny for your thoughts, Jock," said the girl. "Well," replied the Scotsman, becoming suddenly bold, "I was just thinking, Maggie, how fine it would be if you gave me s wee bit kissie." "Of course, Jock," said the girl. After she had complied, there was another long silence. "And what are you thinking about now, Jockf" she asked coyly, after a while. "Another kiss?" "Ns, na, lassie," said Jock. "I was just thinking that it was about time you were paying me that penny for my thoughts." Established on North Shore 20 Ycsiu. (Lsdy Amistsut) HARROiV BROS. The auditorium was full to cap- acity at both services, the decor- ations in white and red were very effective, the star and the cross and the trees with the col- ored lights gave additional im- pressiveness, and the carols sung in the evening by the choir from the hall before entering gave the eifect of distant music from the unseen. The anthems and solos by Mesdames Leggatt and Stainsby with the closing Halle- lujah Chorus all helped in one of the best Xmas services ever held. The morning White Gifts ser- vice was successful from every point of view.
