Jimmy Thomson'8 TRANSFERTwo very pleasing events took place last week at the 1V. A. meeting at the home of Mrs. Ritchie. The first was the pres- entation of a very nice leather under-arm bag to the oldest member, hfrs. 51cTaggart, in honor of her approaching eighti- eth birthday. The president in a happy little speech presented the gift and Mrs. Baldwin fol- lowed with a clever original verse which was much enjoyed by all. Mrs. McTaggart, although taken entirely by surprise, returned thanks in a way which left no no doubt as to her appreciation. Mrs. Henry, after making a speech in her own charming way, presented 3 leather covered book and a bouquet of roses in the name of the Association to the president, Mrs. Ritchie. These gifts were also accompanied by suitable verses by Mrs. Baldwin. Mrs. Ritchie thanked the Associ- ation in words which went straight to the heart of all pres- ent. Altogether, the last meet- ing of the season was a very happy occasion and a fitting fin- ish to a year's hard work. Dally Trips io sud from City. Mu' ius B&ususc ~ Succiciiy. C.
