This year's graduating closs of nurses of St. Paul's Hospital, were entertained on wednesday evening at dinner at )Vhytecliff Park by the alumni association of the hospital. The party went out and back to the city in two Pacific Stage busses. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Rosman and family of Vancouver, have taken a cottage at 25th and Hay- wood. Mrs. 4V. M. Jackman, 22nd and Palmerston, who has been sick at her home for some weeks, is now considerably improved. Mrs. Bush of Vancouver, was a guest at the Clachan hotel over the week end. st Mr .and Mrs. J. A. Baxter, 23rd and Kings, entertained over the week end, two boys who are members of the Australian party visiting Vancouver. Nr. and Mrs. J. Mitchell of Long Bay, spent the week end visiting Mra. The celebra- tion committee, at its meeting in the City Hall Monday evening authorized its chairman, Mayor G. H. Morden, to arrange for the visit of the Olympic champion. The committee decided to hold the usual street parade and prizes will be offered for the best decorated floats, private cars and bicycles. A sports pro- gram will be provided for the children and adults. A special committee was ap- pointed to arrange for a flight of a squadron or airplanes over Mahon. Park. The tree fell across an auto which happened to be stand- ing on the parking space on Mar- ine Drive, wrecking the top and smashing the windshield. For- tunately the owners were enjoy- ing themselves on the beach at the time, so that nobody was in- jured. Dr. Lang of Anyox, who fnrm- erly practised in West Vancou- ver, was here this week renew- ing old acquaintances. Mr. T. Russell, 14th and Es- quimalt, accompanied by his daughter Hilda, left last week d'or Nanaimo, where they motor- ed to Victoria, where the latter is spending a two-weeks'isit.
