It is believed to have been started by berry pick- ers. Another was found at the suspension bridge over Capilano Canyon, where two men from the department extinguished the blaze. Ii.'.S At a meeting held Tuesday evening the executive of the North Shore Baseball League de- cided on i~Ionday evening, July 23, as the date for the com- mencement of the playoffs here. The teams standing second and third at the end of the regular schedule will meet in a two-out- of-three series, the winner to meet the league leaders in a three-out-of-five series for the championship and the right to represent the league in the prov- incial playoff series. Playoff games from July 23, will be play- ed each Monday, wednesday and Friday evening at Mahon Park, and the executive appointed a special committee to see what can be done to have the Mahon Park diamond placed in first- class condition for the playoff games.
