A large blnck and white cat took up residence in the municipal hnfi six days ago. and refuses to lenve. There is now some doubt as to whether he is not really n member of the council, for he is reported to hnve spent Monday evening on the shnul&ler of one of our councillors throughout the session of our municipal fathers on thnt night. ]le was not nak- ed to &lo so, ns he was not naked on IVednesday mnrning, when he spent nne half hour round thc neck of a certain newspaper man whn wns engaged in tnking notes on the council minutes, the latter bubbling that the minutes &lkl not contnin any reference to the cat, ax they should] have done. One thing however. is certain. that an ammnl of such a fmendly disposition should have no diffi- culty in fimling n home.
