The meeting, which &vas &cell atteml- ed, dealt with a quantity of cor- respondence relative to routine matters &vhich had accumulat- ed during the summer. A com- mittee with power to act consist- ing of Comrades Lawson and Archer was appointed in regard to the sale of poppies on Armis- tice Day. It &vas decided to hold a social with a musical programme and dancing in Dundarave Hall next Friday at 8 p. m. JULIA SCOTT The Royal Financial Corpora- tion were swarded the $ 13,000 worth of Waterworks debentur- es recently offered for sale by the council. Their tender of $ 12,964.80 was the highest re- ceived. Nrs. Julia Scott, widow of Henry Scott, passed away on Monday at her home on 15th and Duchess, in her 75th year. Her husband died last October. The funeral services were held from Harron Bros. d& Williamson's Chapel, North Vancouver, and interment was made in IVest Vancouver cemetery. She is sur- vived by two sons, one living in Alberta and Fred in IVest Van- couver, also by a brother who resides in Portland, Oregon. SECOND NARROWS BRIDGE HAS HEA VY bVEEK-END TRAFFIC It is reported by bridge offici- als that on Sunday last 19,702 persons, 5385 autos and 163 other vehicles crossed the bridge while on Saturday 7285 persons 2424 autos and 4(9 other vehicl- es crossed the bridge making a total of 26,9S7 persons, 8809 autos and 642 other vehicles for the wek-end. Sunday morning' traffic on the bridge was excep- tionally light although the vceather was fine with the result that in a few hours of the after- noon, the bridge coped with prac- ally the whole day's traffic. In fact the traffic over the bridge throughout the afternoon was as hea&iy as has been recorded since the opening of the bridge, report officials.
