In an- ticipation of the keen competi- tion for the shield, it is likely that many visitors will be pres- ent. School Board Asks Better Train Facilities Some time ago a delegation from the School board waited on the council as regards the wint- er schedule of the P. G. E. They have now written the council, re- questing that, when the schedule comes up for consideration, the question of transportation for children from Cypress Park and Whytecliff, who are attending the Central Schools, be kept in view, as the schools in these two districts are closed. A train leav- ing North Vancouver after ar- rival of the 3.40 ferry would in the board's opinion be very con- venient for the children return- ing home. The council have ad- vised the school board that this letter will be kept in mind when required. God loves all His creation, His creatures great and small; He cares and watches over them, For not one sparrow falls Unless our Heavenly Father knows; He gives them food each day, And guards them from all hid- den harm, Protecting them alway. He teaches them to buikl their nests From different twigs and clay, )Vhere they can rear their little ones An&l feed them day by day; The feathered mother guards her young For 'neath her wings they hide, And God sees from EIis throne above, That every need's supplied. The sparrows simply trust each day, They know God will not fail To be their friend and constant guide, Though dangers may assail; They do not doubt God's sov- ereign love For Ilia dear ones below, Why should they fear when Go&I is near To banish every foe7 So let us learn to trust Him more And let Him be our Guide, For He will be a faithful Friend And all our needs provide; And He will gently lead us on Through this life's varied way, Until we reach the Better Land Where shadows flee away.
