This is the first time that West Vancouver students have ap- peared in any interschool meet. They acquitted themselves well All boys who were on the team won points. The team and supporters were conveyed directly to the Park by the West Vancouver Municipal Bus and those in charge of the athletes speak highly of the good service giv- en. It will be noted that in the boy's section Blair Ed- wards took 6 of the total 17 points, whilst Isabel Wilson was responsible for 12 of the 35 points accumulated by the girls. Howard Fletcher, pro- prietor of the New Hollyburn Theatre, attended the convention of theatre managers held at Van- couver on Tuesday. There were about 70 theatre owners and managers of B. C. represented at the convention. Among the winners of the "Bathing Beauties" in the con- test recently held in Vancouver, was Miss Mary Denomie, sister to Mrs. A. W. Wright of West Vancouver. Miss Denomie rec- ently arrived in B. C. from Sas- katchewan for the benefit of her health. In view of the coming school races, Mr. B. The dahlies in Mr. Barrow's garden on the hillside at Dun- darave, are already in bud, which is an unusually early period for these plants. His strawberries are also more advanced this sea- son than any previous year, as they are already turning red. Local preparations are well ahead fo rthe May Day Festival at North Vancouver. Mr. Ed. Black, who is arranging the transportation, states that ample free accommodation will be a- vailable for all West Vancouver children wishing to attend.
