West Vancouver Memorial Library · The Inquiring Mind What's a TumbleBook? TumbleBooks are e-books for e-kids and they are available on our website. Go to www. westvanlib.org and click on Kids. There you will find the TumbleBook button that will take you to the world of online books. There are interactive story books to read on your computer. Choose from favourite authors like Robert Munsch and well-loved characters like Caillou. There are books available for language learning in French, Spanish and Chinese, as well as puzzles and games. You can submit a book report and read what others have said about a title. The books are largely suitable for K to grade 3. Teen Summer Reading Goes Province-wide Our library has provided a Summer Reading Club for teens for a number of years. This year the province has developed a teen reading club complete with interactive website, cool bookmarks, booklets for keeping track of reading and lists of suggested reading. The club is called "Summer Scrapbook" and high school students will register online, submit reviews of books electronically and qualify for prize draws. Stay tuned for more details! Don't forget our Summer Reading Club for elementary school aged children. The theme of this year's club is "Undercover Reader." Need Information? Ask a Searchasaurus. You can search thousands of magazines by subject online and even look at the full text of the article. Just go to our website at www.westvanlib.org and click on Kids. There you will find the Searchasaurus icon. Once you click on it you will need to enter your library card number as your password. Resources include an animal encyclopaedia, a general encyclopaedia and a dictionary, as well as magazines.
