Babies & books - and you - are a winning combination. Current research makes it clear that early brain development is crucial to later success in learning and socialization. And what can you do to stimulate such development? ■ Read (anything!) to your baby each day. ■ Sing to your baby. ■ Talk about the day's activities. ■ Recite nursery rhymes. (Forgotten 'Patty Cake, Patty Cake'? Come to the library!) ■ Make up songs, rhymes and chants. ■ Listen when your baby talks. ■ Play interactive games like hide and seek. ■ Do fingerplays and other action rhymes. (We've got these at the library too!) ■ Make visits to the library a regular event. We're baby and child friendly! ■ Enjoy Babytime at the library. We've modified our Babytime schedule to serve you better. Check our website or phone 604-925-7408
