STAFF/VOLUNTEER CHRISTMAS PARTY Barbara Drummond To give all the Library "family" an opportunity to attend the Christmas Party, it was held from 9-10 AM on December 8. The piano in the background provided a festive atmosphere, and the catering from the Seniors' Centre was delectable as usual. A good time was had by all even though the staff walked off with most of the door prizes - a little collusion perhaps! MUSIC SERIES We were delighted and excited when we noticed the appearance of the beautiful, shiny, black, grand piano in the main hall of the Library. Another addition provided by the generous Welsh bequest. Our 2006 Friday Night Concert Series commences on January 20 at 7:30 PM with Tangissimo, featuring pianist Linda Lee Thomas, guitarist Ed Henderson and bassist Miles Foxx Hill. The following Thursday, January 26, 10:30 - noon, Gerald van Wyck will enlighten and entertain us with his talk on "Who Wrote the Mozart Requiem, Mozart, Salieri or Sussmeyer?" LET US ENTERTAIN YOU
