BOOK CART Barbara Drummond Although the book cart revenues were marginally lower than in 2003, the cart continues to average between $700 and $800 monthly and we raised $8,092. Some changes were made, adding another "Kids' Basket", more puzzles, and introducing a non-fiction shelf, changes which have proven to be very favourable. Many thanks to our "sorters" in "The Pit" Noreen Avery, Ted Hill, Wanda Osborne, Juliet Janes and Brendan Rowell. BOOK CART REPLENISHING Patricia Treadwell Work performed by the replenishing teams was outlined and praise for the unconditional support from each member was stressed. Their work has definitely reduced the load on the "pit crew" and certainly has contributed to some of the success of the cart. Thank you to team members: Bee Barker, Irene Caudwell, Cathie Clinch, Marvin Childs, Edda Davis, Maureen Eagle, Noelene Harland, Peggy Keene, Betty O'Sullivan, Patricia Treadwell. TELEPHONE Natalie Logan There were 70 names on the list of members willing to help and about 35 people actually participated in our two book sales for 2004. Remembrance Day saw 19 of the 42 members listed actually participating. The job is made so much easier as Maureen keeps her membership list current. NEWSLETTER PRINTING A MAILING Natalie Logan · .
