ACCOLADES TO MARY HOLLAND, OUR RETIRING EDITOR, OUR SILENT HERO As our editor, Mary designed the new layout, wrote articles, proofing and editing and of course always managed to find the right "character" to enhance the articles and she would even help with the mailing. Just a reminder that it was Mary's initiative to design the "stack of books", our logo we use for our book sales. Also, there were always the most colourful monthly meeting notices she would prepare for our bulletin board. These are but a few of Mary's long list of contributions as she would just calmly suggest and help when she saw a need. Mary always put the production of the newsletter ahead of her own personal schedule, working at times till the wee hours in the morning. We are happy that she will now be free to plan her month without working around the newsletter. In appreciation of Mary's dedication and commitment as our newsletter editor for the past five years, the Friends presented her with a "thank you" bouquet of flowers. Mary, from all of us and especially from your "newsletter" colleagues we are going to miss you terribly but we also know how very much you have been appreciated over the years. Again thank you for helping Deborah during her transition period. And although you will not be the editor we know you will still be an active "Friend," and we look forward to seeing you at our meetings. Again Thank-you...
