NEWSLETTER Issue 165 November 2003 West Vancouver Memorial Library MEMBERSHIP It is with great sadness that we inform Friends of the passing of two of our members. Mary Boyse had been a Friend since 1987 and many long time members will remember her. Norah Knapp had been a member since 1997. Both passed away recently. There are no new members this month. Our membership stands at 180. The Friends have members who have been supporters for many years and we look forward to knowing just how long they have been members and who is the longest serving member. Maureen Eagle and Lillian Chow will be retrieving this information from the archives and we hope their task will be completed by our upcoming Annual General Meeting in January. A reminder to everyone - copies of the Minutes and a full Financial Statement are available from the Library's Administration Office. BOOK CART SALES From September 24 to October 22, sales totaled $823 giving us another excellent month. Year to date total is: $7,231. Our thanks to the Book Cart replenishing teams for keeping up to the challenge of keeping the cart stocked: Bee Barker, Irene Caudwell, Marvin Childs, Cathie Clinch, Edda Davis, Eileen de Bues, Noelene Harland, Peggy Keene, Natalie Logan, Betty O'Sullivan and Patricia Treadwell. Our many thanks to Patricia who so graciously took on the position of coordinating the teams that have been successfully in operation since May 2003. November, December and January teams are in place but we need more Friends to become involved in the up coming months. ( Some heavy lifting and regular weekly scheduling). Interested? Please call and leave a message with Patricia at 604-921-8520.
