FRIEND'S FUNDING $14,500 With our bank balance of over $19,000, the Friends at their June meeting approved the purchase of a display rack for Biographies in the Main Hall (cost $4,000) and additional CD drawers (cost $2,300). This approval completes the Library's Wish List projects for 2003. Monies we have committed and not yet paid out are $2,000 for the North Shore Writers' Festival and an item from the Library's 2002 Wish List for updates to the web page approximately $3,000. The Library will be invoicing us shortly for this funding. Our term deposit ( $11,407) due in November will be used in part to cover the Library's Wish List for 2003. BOOK CART SALES These continue to exceed expectations. For the period May 28 to June 25, 2003 sales were $701 with a year to date sales total of $3,879. In comparison, the year to date for the same period in 2002 totaled $3,400. * Update: sales from June 25 to July 9/03 = $429. TREASURER'S REPORT Financial Statement to June 25, 2003 as prepared by our Treasurer Ian Loudon: Bank Account $ 7,828 Term Deposit $ 11,407 Cash $ 264 Total $19,499 *Gaming Account $797 Total Funds $20,296 * B.C. Gaming Commission has not as yet given us the authority to use the $797 in this account to refurbish the table tops in the study area. BOOK CART REPLENISHING According to Patricia Treadwell some of the "Bugs" in our new procedures for "replenishing" and maintaining our book cart have been ironed out.
