Continued from page 3) Goodhart, the staff, the Friends of the Library, the Library Board, and the Honorary Advisory Board, the Library Foundation and the staff of West Vancouver District. She manages provision of "services and premises", and maintains accounting and personnel records. So it is easy to see why we are all so reluctant to say "Goodbye" to her. Lillian says she has always (or most days, anyway) enjoyed the challenges of her work. Apart from the office and the routine responsibilities of her home and her family, she has a few favorite pastimes. She reads widely, enjoys walking and tai chi, is a philatelist, and a lover of classical and "easy listening" music. She lives in Burnaby and drives the Upper Levels Highway to and from work. We lost Lillian to retirement on January 4th, 2002. Her replacement, Lori Breen is already mastering all the manifold details of her new position as "Administrative Assistant" in our Library. To her we say "Welcome Indeed"! And to Lillian we say, "Thank you, and good luck"! Ted Hill MEMBERSHIP REPORT Maureen Eagle reported that at the end of December 2001 membership is down 28 members since 2000. We welcomed 25 new members compared to 44 in 2000 and 38 in 1999.
