ART GALLERY Due to other commitments on Friday evenings when the Artists Receptions are now held, Gisele Black has had to step down as Committee Chair. The Friends knew Gisele would ensure the receptions ran smoothly as she was a gracious hostess and her special style made the event quite elegant. Her hard work was appreciated by the artists and Friends who worked with her. We will miss you, Gisele, but know we can count on you if necessary. Thank you for all your hard work. The exhibit in the Gallery now is - July 9 - August 4 "In The Moment" Oils, Watercolours A Drawings by June Harman June is a graduate from the Capilano College commercial art program and worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and art director. She has now retired to pursue a career in painting. She strives to "capture that essential moment' - the present not the past or future one, but a "single specific moment'. Reception, with the Artist in attendance, will be on Friday, 13th July from 6 -7:30 p.m. Most paintings are for sale. TEEN ADVISORY GROUP This new group will bring together 8 -10 young people representing a range of ages and all the secondary schools in West Vancouver. They will meet 3-4 times a year and share their opinions and ideas and be the voice of their peers regarding the Library. They may discuss such items as the Teen collection, suggestions for books, reading clubs, book reviews, education and outreach to teens as well as other Library activities.
