CHIEF LIBRARIAN'S REPORT Ann Goodhart reported that the replacement shelving and new lighting in the West Wing will be the major change occurring in the Library over the next five months. It brings some inconvenience for us all and a lot of hard work for the staff. While every book is being moved in these areas they are making some other changes that will make the entire collection easier to use. Oversize books will be integrated with the main collection so you won't have to look in two places to see what is available on a subject. Smaller collections such as Large Print and Foreign Languages will be moved to new locations as well. All this will provide an almost 25% increase in shelving space. Funding for the project is coming jointly from the Municipality and the Library Foundation. New Library Hours Monday to Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Library will be closed on Sundays starting with Canada Day through Labour Day as well as the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
