ART GALLERY This current exhibition in the Art Gallery is entitled "Naturescapes - Up Close and Faraway" and is the eighth solo show for artist Gay Torlay. Gay's painting was nurtured by courses at London, England art schools as well as at Kwantlen University College and various workshops after she emigrated to Canada. She has exhibited her work in her home city of Port Moody, Coquitlam, Maple Ridge and with the Harrison Gallery in Vancouver and the Adele/ Campbell Gallery in Whistler. She has received several juried awards. Gay paints in two quite different styles with her watercolour scenes of the Port Moody inlet alternating with "organic paintings " done with acrylics and collage. All Gay's work is matted with acid free rag mats and backing. UPCOMING GALLERY EXHIBITS The following schedule has been announced by Bridget McDowall for the first part of the year 2000.
