Association Liaison The Friends of North Vancouver District Public Library Association Liaison The Friends of North Vancouver District Public Library published their first newsletter in January, entitled "Inklings". We send this organization best wishes for their continued success. The "Friends of Libraries U.S.A." has recently launched "Listserv". Described as " a computer conference by e-mail -when you post a message to the litserv it goes to all subscribers, and all of their messages come to your e-mail mailbox. This great communication opportunity allows for quick questions and answers and sharing of ideas. Topics are whatever interests the subscribers: book sale problems, how-to-do-it tips, good advocacy strategies, fundraising." The meeting agreed that we should join "litserv" on a trial basis, and that information gained from it would be shared through the medium of the newsletter. Friends on the Internet Jack Mounce informed us that the Friends of the Library will be listed as an entity on the Library's "home page" which is currently being developed for inclusion on the world wide web. Next month's newsletter will include news of the exciting new developments in the Library's computer services.
