Continues to February 3, 1996 P R E S S RELEASE: MEMORIAL LIBRARY OPENS SPECIALTY TEA & COFFEE BAR The Board of Trustees of the Memorial Library and the Directors of the Memorial library Foundation of West Vancouver are pleased to announce the official opening of Murchie's Specialty Tea & Coffee Bar in the Library, on Friday, October 20th, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. Don Fletcher, Chair of the Library Board, and Bob Wyckham, Chair of the Memorial Library Foundation, both expressed satisfaction to be collaborating with such a long-established Vancouver firm as Murchie's to offer this special service in the Library, which many people indicated support for in a recent survey. The concept was developed by the Foundation, which during its nine years of existence has posted an impressive record of fund-raising for the Memorial Library. The Foundation looks forward to utilizing the revenue provided by the specialty tea and coffee bar to further its programme of support for the longterm goals and special needs of the Library. Everyone is invited to join the Mayor and members of Council, members of the two Boards and Murchie's representatives for the official opening of West Van's newest tea and coffee bar, in the west wing of the Library on October 20th at 2:00 p.m. ARTIST'S RECEPTION The next reception will be on October 30 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. with artists Elizabeth Caulton and Gloria O'Neil in attendance. Their exhibitions "Challenging Strokes" and "Our Vanishing Landscapes" respectively, will continue to November 26th, 1995. .../2
