BOOK SALE '95 It was a case of "Welcome Home, Book Sale!" this time, and a very welcome change from the hard labour of the Ice Arena it was too! It all seemed so simple and went very smoothly, due no doubt to the skillful but gentle touch of Wanda Osborne who was coordinating all the various activities needed to bring it all together and make it work smoothly and successfully, which it certainly did, thanks to all the hours put in by our regular group of dedicated, hard-working members. However, only about half the number of volunteers were needed compared to last year, and our expenses were down. The preview to the book sale was not well attended, but public feedback was good. The total amount made was approximately $7,300. Well done Wanda! Well done EVERYBODY! ARTIST'S RECEPTION The next reception will be on July 31st from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. with artist Bevil Conway in attendance. His exhibition "A Watercolour Portrait" will continue to August 26th.
