CASINO NIGHTS As reported at our March meeting, the final result of our labours on March 21st and 22nd was modest compared with previous years. In fact, on the first night the net result was a minus, which had to be set against the gain on the second. The gross proceeds were $14,350, but after deductions for the Casino's share, G.S.T. and the Provincial Government, our net reward amounted to $6,756.20 or about half what we brought home in 1993. But we can feel sure that even this amount will be put to good use, and we appreciate the opportunity to raise funds in this way. Better luck next time! And now a special word of appreciation and thanks to the Board Members, Library Staff and Friends of the Library who formed our two "teams" for the event, as follows: Monday.
