c) Communications Committee Jack reported that the joint Library Board/Foundation Communications Committee will shortly be revived. Tony Scammell agreed to continue as a member of the committee. d) Stained glass window Lighting experts are being requested to propose solutions for the stained glass window. Once this has been resolved, the problem of the protective glass will be addressed. e) January activity January 1994 was the Memorial Library's busiest month ever. Treasurer's Report In the absence of Irene Caudwell, Eileen de Bues reviewed the financial statement which was circulated at the meeting. She pointed out that the last of the 1993 Casino funds have now been paid out to the Municipality for equipment and furnishings in the Youth Services Department. Membership Report In the absence of Marguerite Cassetta, Betty Neilson reported that there are now 84 members of the Friends. Board Liaison Report Alan Maxwell described the work being done by Library Board members Don Fletcher and Jack McConville in finishing the Story House. He also reported that the fireplace project is currently on hold.
