ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING & RECEPTION The Annual General Meeting held on January 26th is covered in the Minutes which accompany this Newsletter. A copy of the President's Annual Report is also included. The Reception held on February 7th was a happy occasion, well attended by Friends, Volunteers, Library Board members and Library staff. We were sorry that Jack Mounce could not be with us owing to illness, but thank him for kindly arranging for the wine. Our thanks especially to Eileen de Bues and her helpers for the very attractive and tasty "nibbles." The new Meeting Room makes a very nice venue for this type of gathering. MEMBERSHIP This is your last call for renewing your annual membership (still only $10.00 per year!). Please use the attached tear-off slip and let us hear from you very soon - we should hate to stop sending you this Newsletter every month! (Next month, with no renewal slip, we should have room for a little "pleasure" and not all "business"!) MUSIC AT THE LIBRARY This popular series will be offered again in the Spring. The Memorial Library Foundation of West Vancouver, co-sponsoring with Music in the Morning Concert Society, is presenting its second Wednesday morning series of "musical conversations." March 9 - June Goldsmith, lecturer April 6 - Rita Costanzi, harpist May 11 - Robert Rogers, pianist One-hour musical conversations ... talks and live music ... will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the Peter J. Peters Meeting Room and will be preceded by refreshments, served by the Friends, at 10:00 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Library.
