REMEMBRANCE DAY We shall be hosting the annual reception in the Library as usual, but this year we shall be without Lois! Arrangements and recruiting are already under way, and this will no doubt be discussed at our coming meeting on the 27th of October. FREE LECTURE SERIES Don't forget the continuing series which will include: October 28: Jack Whyte, author, focusing on the Arthurian legend and his solution to the sword in the stone mystery. November 25: Peter Hyslop, engineer, project manager for the Lions Gate Crossing. His lecture will centre on the various alternatives to the Lions Gate Crossing - a timely and highly political subject. All will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Peter J. Peters Meeting Room. ARTIST'S RECEPTION The next reception will take place on November 1st at 7:30 p.m. The artist will be Peggy Tupper.
