It is possible that our lack of libraries these days is simply a matter of space. Many of us don't have a room for books. A lot of us don't have houses. Books are like the tip of the iceberg. Look at a few and you can sum up someone's tastes pretty quickly. Let's hope that never changes. [Ed. Perhaps the price of books is the main factor.
