NEWSLETTER No. 41 January 1991 Dear Friend of the Library, INVITATIONS At our Annual General Meetings we normally combine business with pleasure, and very nice tool But this year the A.G.M. will be strictly business. The pleasure, in the form of a separate Wine and Cheese Reception, will enable us as a group to meet, 'refresh' and underline our enthusiasm with members of the Library Board and senior members of the staff in particular. So please note in your diaries and come to these two 'highlight' gatherings 1. The Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd, 1991, at 7 p.m. in the Seminar Room. Annual Reports will be presented and Officers for 1991 will be elected. 2. There will be a Wine and Cheese Reception on Monday, January 28th, 1991, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Seminar Room, to which the Chairman and Members of the Library Board, senior members of the Library staff and others will be invited. We intend to make our formal presentation to the Special Edition Fundraising Campaign of our cheque for Twenty-One Thousand Dollars, as already pledged and effectively doubled by a matching amount contributed by the District of West Vancouver. It is hoped that a representative of the North Shore News will be present so that our efforts on behalf of the Library will be publicized.
