NEWSLETTER October 1990 Dear Friend of the Library, We will be meeting again on Wednesday, 25th October, at 7 p.m. in the Seminar Room. We have some important events coming up during the next few weeks which we will be discussing at the meeting. 1. The Book Sale This will take place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the 28th, 29th and 30th of October, and there is a preview for members on Saturday, the 27th, from 5-6 p.m. If you would like to help please call Pat Scrivener at 922-2298 who will give you details. Incidentally, last October's sale brought in just under $3,000. 2. Saturday, November 10 - a special party at the Library to celebrate the 40th anniversary, the enclosed leaflet will give you details of the programme. We would appreciate some volunteers that day, who would be willing to prepare a plate of cookies or squares and/or offer their services to help with the general chores. Please call me, Eileen de Bues, at 922-6446, or call Jay Fawell at 922-6918, if you can help. 3. Sunday, November 11 - we will be hosting refreshments in the Library after the cenotaph service.
