It was moved by Barbara Payne, seconded by Anne Fletcher That the Friends purchase a suitably-sized trophy to be presented to the Squadron plus a smaller trophy for each high achiever during the year, to a total maximum cost of $100.00 initially. CARRIED. 6. Treasurer's Report Anne Fletcher reported that the account balance stood at $13,799.58, of which $13,003.00 was in a T-Bill account, and the remaining $796.58 was in the savings account. At this meeting it was arranged that a further $1,000.00 would be transferred into the T-Bill account from the Gift Shop account which would shortly be closed once final cheques had been cleared. Name Tags Anne Fletcher gave information regarding a type of brass name tag (secured to the clothing by a magnet) which cost in the region of $10.00 to $12.00 each. A cheaper plastic type would cost $5.00. Specimens could be provided for the next meeting. 8. Membership Report Betsy Lee reported that currently membership stood at 112, compared to 84 at this time last year. 9. Additional Director Pat Scrivener has been in the front rank of the Friends ever since our revival in 1986 and has been a tower of strength in all our activities - but "without portfolio". All at the meeting agreed that this situation should not be allowed to continue, and that her contribution to the Executive would be valuable and much appreciated. It was moved by Charles Corbet and seconded by Marie McWhirter To elect Pat Scrivener as a Director at large. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 10.
