typical non-fiction categories found in the Library, for instance biography, social history, travel, gardens, historic houses, architecture, craftsmanship, art, nature study - these are just a few - the possibilities are endless! There must be members of the Friends who have experiences and/or expertise which could be shared and enjoyed by the whole membership. We will of course be seeking outside speakers as well. We want to keep our programme on a high level of interest and entertainment, with input by knowledgeable people who can present their subject or experience in an entertaining way. Do you know anyone who you can suggest? My suggestions are mere scratches on the surface of possibility, and I do hope you can help me by letting me have your ideas, suggestions and preferences. Please check subjects which appeal to you on the tear-off portion of this letter, or if they are not what you like please say what other subjects would interest you. Then please either mail this in to the Library, addressed to the Friends of the Library, at 1950 Marine Drive, West Vancouver, B.C. V7V 1J8, as soon as possible, or deposit it in a special box ("Friends of the Library Programme Suggestions") to be found near the check-out counter, when you next visit the Library. Many thanks - we shall welcome your help and will give careful consideration to all your suggestions and remarks.
