Over a period of several years attitudes have changed. A considerable proportion of the population does not regard Sunday as the sabbath, while others have come to accept or even demand the right to shop or attend entertainment functions on this first day of the week (or the seventh, depending on how you look at it). As we reported in the June issue of the newsletter, the Memorial Library Board recently decided that West Vancouver's library should join others in offering full reference and lending services to patrons r four hours each Sunday rnmencing October 14th, 1984, therefore, the Memorial Library will be open between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. each Sunday (other than Statutory Holidays such as November 11th, 1984). The Board intends to offer this service until the end of April 1985, when it will be suspended for the summer months, resum ing after Thanskgiving 1985.
