At the beginning of a new fiscal year it seems appropriate to enumerate some resolu tions, that is, a list of some of our objec tives for 1987. First, we hope to provide a level of service which is as good as, if not better than, the kind of library service you have come to expect in West Vancouver over the years. To this end we'll aim to acquire the 12,000 15,000 new hardcover books which have been the norm for the Library. We'll continue to add paper-backs, classic films and instruc tional materials in video, records, audio cassettes and more compact discs to feed a demand that is growing with incredible speed. However, the heavy emphasis will remain in print media. We'll continue to offer a variety of children's programs, adult discussion groups, occasional author's visits and other events. We'll · hope to improve general awareness of the Library's special services including taped books, delivery of books to homebound patrons and the bookmobile. The Friends of the Library will expand their role in support of the Library, for instance by conducting a fund--raising campaign on behalf of the Memorial Library Foundation of West Vancouver. -- -- Children in the New Reviewers Club read the best and newest children's books and write reviews which are published in their own The club is open to all school newsletter. age childrren; if you like to read and talk about books, come and join us!
