Approximately 16,000--20,000 items will be moved out of the Library initially; these will be books typically that are older, that are less frequently borrowed, or that have other copies in the collection. Most of the books will be removed from the Adult collection, with others coining from the Reference and Children's areas. Items that have been removed to storage will be clearly identified in the computer catalogue and will be available for loan (unless Reference) after a slight delay. ADULT SERVICES IN THE GALLERY ... a selection of water colours by West Vancouver engineer and artist Alan Reynolds will be displayed in the gallery during the month of August. A member of the Federation of Canadian Artists and a director of the West Vancouver Sketch Club, Mr. Reynolds has painted in many countries. His subjects include land and seascapes, portraits and still life; his media include acrylics, oils and watercolours. This collection is a recollection of the artist's 25 day visit to China in the Fall of 1987. Most paintings are for sale. Reception ...
