The jurors for Visual Edge 94 (sec Arts Focus story on page 5) have two responsibilities. One is to select a limited number of works which will comprise the larger Images & Objects XII exhibition. The jurors recognize that although this will be an important event, it can only showcase a small sampling of the art being created in this province. The other responsibility is to engage artists, both those selected and not selected, in a dialogue about the work, which will be mutually beneficial to both the artists and the jurors. The jurors' basis for selection will be sensitive to the diversity of work submitted, in recognition that artists make art for different reasons and from different experiences.
