Councils Where Can I Pick Up a Board Members Wanted The Nominating Committee of the West Vancouver Community Arts Council is looking for dedicated supporters of the arts for next year's Board of Directors. The year starts in September. 1993. What does being a Board member involve? It means you attend one board meeting per month, and serve on at least one of the following committees: Financial, Membership, Communications, Video & Resource Library. Silk Purse Art Exhibits, Volunteer and Fundraising. It helps if you have previously served on an arts board and/or are committed to serving artists and arts groups. Being involved with your local Arts Council is very interesting and rewarding. You meet great people who share your interest in the arts and you gain a better knowledge of your community. Most importantly, you get an opportunity to make things happen. She has a Master's degree in Drawing & Painting from the University of New Mexico and has taught art in Canada, the U.S. and Australia. The show runs until July 14th at North Vancouver City Hall. It is sponsored by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council as part of their Art in Public Places program. Art Rental Give your home or office a new look for the fall by renting several fresh new paintings. Emaime attended art schools in Montreal and New York City and has had work exhibited in Australia and Canada, including a group show at Expo '86.
