Oct. 29 Local Composers Dec. 3 Christmas Choral Concert West Vancouver Pops Band T h e West V a n c o v u e r Pops Band commenced its Fall season on September 12th and is looking forward to another busy musical year. There are two "pops" bands: senior and intermediate. Once again, the senior band is being directed by the multi-talented Peter Murray who has faithfully held this position for the past nine years. The intermediate band is fortunate to have the talents of Heather Pidcock as their new band director. Heather is a music graduate from the U n i v e r s i t y o f V i c t o r i a , a former band teacher in the Nanaimo school system for ten years and has for the past three years been a band teacher in the North Vancouver elementary school system. Ferry Building Chamber Music Series The Pro Nova Ensemble presents a diverse series of great strings and winds chamber music rarely performed.
