Please save the following: Christmas ornaments, light reflectors. Christmas tree lights, ribbon, fancy wrapping paper, fabric scraps, cup cake papers, buttons, tinsel, gloves tin foil plates, milk cartons, clothes pegs, cardboard, small to medium boxes and tubes, costume jewelry and so on. These articles can be stored in the basement at Klee W y c k till needed. The West Vancouver Community Arts Council has been awarded a grant from the Canada Council to bring two well known West Coast writers to West Vancouver to do readings during National Book Week, A p r i l 20 to 27. The West Vancouver Memorial Library will co-sponsor the readings by Howard White on A p r i l 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Vancouver Memorial Library and by poet P . K . Page on A p r i l 27 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ferry Building. Howard White is a writer known for his non-fiction books about the B . C . coast and its inhabitants. His most recently published books include Spilsbury's Coast and The Accidental Airline. Howard White also runs his own successful publishing company. Harbour Publishing. P.K. Page has recently had published her first fairy tale, a Flask of Sea Water, and Brazilian Journal, which chronicles her life in Brazil in the fifties when her husband, Arthur Irwin, was Canada's Ambassador to Brazil. These books and her poetry w i l l all be a part of a wonderful afternoon of her readings of her own work. Mark the dates on your calendar now.
