Among the society's upcoming events are a "Welcome to the N eighbourhood" party in A ugust to celebrate, not only the founding of the LVLS, but the opening of the new Lynn Valley lib ra ry and a book sh o p in Lynn Valley Mall. Also in the works is a late-autum n `show and tell' evening during which people interested in self-publishing can ask questions of local authors who have already chosen that route. `Sunday Scribes' takes place on the last Sunday afternoon of each month from 1 to 5 p.m.; people gather to w arm up w ith w ritin g p ro m p ts and challenges, w ork on their own projects, and workshop their stories with others.
