C r e a t e d by cutting edge theatre c o m p a n y , T h e O n l y A n i m a l , this is the unlikely story of a Japanese schoolgirl rebelling against c o n f o r m i t y a n d a " L e f t C o a s t " drag queen embracing Z e n w h o share a quest for freedom. O n l y A n i m a l co-directors K e n d r a Freds on F a n c o n i a n d E r i c R h y s M i l l e r have m a d e a n a m e for themselves w i t h site-specific p r o d u c t i o n s like last summer's Other False Creek. T h e y are bringing those creative techniques inside the theatre w i t h this piece, including a fabric " e n v i r o n m e n t " by artist M i m a Preston, a n d original music by W e n d y Bross Stuart.
