§ 1 Brighten February Blues at 2nd Annual WinterSong Festival N-^ byjedi Smith \ fter the success of the inaugural WinterSong Festival in 2 0 0 6 , the 9 day Festival returns with an even broader range of dynamic and exciting performances with something for everyone. There Is nothing that touches the heart and the soul quite the same way as the human voice lifted in song. Whether you can carry a tune or not, singing brings back fond memories of c a m p f i r e s , school c o n c e r t s , road trips, sing-alongs, holiday carols, and pianos in the parlour. From February 9 - 1 7 p l a n to t a k e in t h i s c e l e b r a t i o n of the human voice and the joy of singing, with plans to brighten the grey days of winter with the sound of song. Cafe, a concert featuring Norman Foote, John Mann (from Spirit of the West), Babe Gurr and Shari Ulrlch. The WinterSong Festival even offers a chance for you to give singing a try! Everyone's invited to check out the choral workshop Singing with Bruce Pullan, or for the songwriters in the crowd Date with a Demo provides an opportunity for your song to be juried by professionals or just come by to watch the process and learn.
