Members meet the first Wednesday of the month which is designated as image night where each member may submit an entry of 2 images (digital or slide) which are scored and critiqued by a panel of judges. This is one method of learning good technique. There is a mentoring program available as well. The second Wednesday of each month is print night, where one judge gives scores and critiques on members print works. On the third Wednesday, Program Night features either a guest speaker or an AV presentation. The fourth Wednesday, at the Silk Purse Gallery is Digital Discussion Group. For the last 2 years members have had a large number of their prints on display at the Harmony Arts Festival in the summer. However, their largest event is the "North Shore Challenge." It is an entertaining evening of competition between 25-35 photography clubs located in B.C. & Yukon for the prestigious North Shore Challenge Trophy. Each participating club enters 10 images that are shown on screen and scored by three well-known BC photographers. The club with the highest total takes home the trophy. This year the 23rd North Shore Challenge takes place on March 3, 2007 at The Kay Meek Centre which is located next to West Vancouver Secondary School, and is easily accessed from Mathers Avenue, or the convenient large parking lot located off Inglewood behind the school.
