This month, C i t y S c a p e C o m m u n i t y / \ / r a i n - s o a k e d d a y s w h e n t h o u g h t s naturally t u r n i n w a r d Gallery provides a f o c u s for introspection with a n evocative exhibit of p h o t o g r a p h s entitled Space Time Memory. This thoughtful, meditative collection features the work of t h r e e internationally r e c o g n i z e d artists: J a c q u e l i n e M e t z , L i s a M a c L e a n a n d Valerie M e t z . U s i n g p h o t o g r a p h y a s their m e d i u m , they e x p l o r e a variety o f architectural s p a c e s a n d t h e e m o t i o n s that linger long after t h e s e s p a c e s h a v e b e e n a b a n d o n e d . Their w o r k s r e p r e s e n t a n exploration o f 'the p o e t i c s of s p a c e . ' J a c q u e l i n e M e t z is a p r o f e s s i o n a l architect in V a n c o u v e r . H e r photographs of the empty C h a p e l of S a l t e p e t r i e r e in P a r i s a r e a s t u d y of f a i t h , i t s l o s s a n d t h e d e s i r e f o r transcendence.
