Interested in acting since she was about four. Barber trained in London, England where she worked in theatre for some years. Moving to Vancouver she found steady work as an actress at the Arts Club, Vancouver Playhouse and City Stage. She was well placed to grow with the Vancouver film industry as it took its first tentative steps in the 80's. In the past 15 years, she has been cast in 200-300 spots in TV movies, series and commercials. Three years ago she got her first experience as a director/choreographer. Recently, her company put on Faces of Love, a musical revue about three couples, at Presentation House.
