In early May this year at the North Shore Zone Festival at Presentation House Theatre in North Van, competing against the most talented theatre people in the area, NVCP again won numerous awards, including Best Overall Production.Their entry, Breaking the Code, by Hugh Whitemore was chosen to compete at the provincial drama competition MAINSTAGE in Nanaimo July 5-13. "This is so timely," NVCP stalwart Ann Marsh said of the play. "The movie Enigma has just come out, about the breaking of the Enigma code during World War II, and that's what this play is about. I saw the play in London in 1987, but it has been dormant ever since."
